Happy Post-Oscars Monday!!!

I, unfortunately, was not able to watch much of it due to homework (eww) and an oppressive sickness (double eww). But the red carpet was fab as always!

In other news, season 10 of NBC's The Voice starts TONIGHT!!!! You won't be able to see me, but I'll be with boo during the filming. I mean, he doesn't know that, but I do.

On a different note, friends, I have sad news. This Sunday is the very last episode ever of Downton Abbey. Ever. My soul is troubled.

Brochacho: yea

One mustn't worry too much, though; a Downton Abbey movie is "definitely in negotiations" and may be set in the 1950's or 60's where George is running the estate. You can read more about it here in this article I found.

Today's pun is in honor of the pure greatness that IS Downton Abbey. It also comes in picture form:

Enjoy your week, everyone!

*cough sniffle cough cough*

Hey, guys...

So, I'm kinda sick, but I've also suddenly become very busy. The quarter is almost over, so teachers are cramming in as many tests and quizzes as possible (as always). Also, it's softball season (woot!), which means practice every weekday (and last Saturday) and "6 games in 10 days," to use my coach's words. My legs have become worthless; walking is based on momentum and things that fall to the ground are lost (because I can't EVEN begin to try and pick them up).

To say the least, I'm a little tired.

Consequently (look at that transition!) today's post will be short and the pun will be about my developing sickness.

Is your boat feeling ill? You should take it to the doc.

See you next week!!!

Happy President's Day!

THANKFULLY we had school off today (but not really, because they gave us a ton of homework). Our family celebrated by watching the LAST EPISODE of Gravity Falls (I can't, I really just can't) and the Grammy Awards! Actually, we didn't really watch them (Brochacho wanted to play video games), but here are some of the nominees:
  • Blank Space- Taylor Swift (Record of the Year, Song of the Year)
  • 1989- Taylor Swift (Album of the Year, Best Pop Vocal Album)
  • Sugar- Maroon 5 (Best Pop Duo/Group Performance)
  • Ex's & Oh's- Elle King (Best Rock Performance)
We also took Brochacho on a college visit; it may or may not be a place where people roar...

So today our pun will honor the first president of the United States, Mr. George Washington (Fun Fact: He was actually a lieutenant in the British army for some time)!

There's a big difference between George Washington and a duck; one has a bill on his face, and the other has his face on a bill.

See you next week!

***P.S. HAPPY LATE VALENTINE'S DAY!!! (You're welcome!)

    Monday, February 8, 2016

Good evening, friends! (Or morning, depending on where you are).

I'm so sorry for being a bit late! My schedule is CRAZY this week, so this will have to be short. First up is Super Bowl 50...

It is safe to say that I was extremely disappointed with the Panthers, however, I'm not quite sure why. I've never been super interested in football.

*sigh* But I suppose the Denver Broncos won fair and square. Even if their color scheme is much more inferior than Carolina's.

Also, THE VOICE is returning to NBC on February 29th. You don't want to miss it!!!

(And I don't want to miss my boo...!)

On to our pun! If you don't know, Valentine's Day is this weekend. Valentine's Day is an American holiday honoring St. Valentine, a devout believer of Jesus who was martyred for his faith. He is known for restoring the sight of a judge's blind daughter when his beliefs were put to the test. Today we celebrate Valentine's Day by giving each other cards, flowers, and CHOCOLATE!!!!

I once saw a barista giving his girlfriend a special Valentine coffee cup. On it he had written "you're brew-tiful!"

    Happy Valentine's Day, my lovelies!

Happy February! (Full Disclosure: I spelled it wrong the first time I typed it.)

SOOO sorry I missed last week! I completely forgot about Monday Pun-Day.

    You: Yeah, we noticed

In my defense, it was SNOWING, and whenever it snows in South people lose their minds a little. It is safe to say that all of the bread, milk, and sweet tea was completely sold out across the region. (Or maybe that was just my region).

And yes, I did want to build a snowman.

    ALSO, Brochacho had a BIRTHDAY!!!!

    Brochacho: yay me

We went out to eat with some of our Yankee friends to celebrate. I personally got him a gift card to Zaxby's, 'cause you know. All he does is eat.

    Brochacho: yea

Seriously though, we all love him very much and can't wait to see the man he becomes!

In honor of Brochacho, I have a pun about none other than the sport of American football (which he plays).

A lot of people don't know that a coach's favorite player is the kicker; they always put their best foot forward.

Speaking of football, the Super Bowl is this weekend. I'm cheering for the southern team!!!
